To All Solaris Employees,

It is with great sadness we must report the loss of 3 of our own.   On August 14th, Solaris Cargo flight 7569 was performing an operation from Indianapolis (KIND) to Tampa (KTPA).   The flight proceeded normally until entering Florida.   NTSB investigators have recovered the blackbox and have been analyzing the initial data since yesterday.  They have begun to put together the final moments of flight 7569.   The aircraft was proceeding on course at Flight Level 350 approaching the Gainsville area in north Florida.   At 1 hour 33 minutes into the flight the blackbox data indicates a sudden lose of airspeed followed by a rapid loss of altitude and the disconnect of the autopilot system.    The aircraft entered into what is known as a wing stall and begin spiraling out of FL350.  The crew was unable to regain control of the aircraft.   The aircraft continued to lose forward speed while increasing descent rate which suggests it was in a flat spin prior to impact.   The aircraft impacted the ground at over 16000 feet per minute and disintegrated.   The crew of 3, the aircraft and all cargo aboard were destroyed.   Insurance adjusters put the total loss at just over 38 million.   As a result of the accident the company has suffered a minor hit to their reputation but are expected to bounce back quickly.
